 update - i fabricated a foot peg mount which was a lot lighter than the stock HD foot pegs, plus it looks more custom...

Its finally getting close enough to start the test ride - using 72 headway LiFePo4 cells configured as 24S3P - i have all the cells and as soon as i get the battery pack wired together the next video will be of its first test ride - this bike was a 1985 Honda Shadow with some HD parts is now all electric...

actually i plan to go for the long haul, from work to home - about 10 miles, but i will have someone follow me to make sure the bike does ok, which im confident it will, at least thats what i keep telling myself...

but it will be a couple more weeks before that happens, so im looking at the beginning of August for the test ride...

After doing some more dialing in of the chopper, i gave it another short test run. the motorcycle runs perfectly, really loving the way it rides...

in addition i got it a motorcycle stereo yesterday which i will install today - the bike is so quiet it needs some AC/DC music playing during the ride...

i ran it up to 45 mph so far, only because of where im riding it, speed zone 35mph and short stretches of road, but im heading to the DMV this friday to get it tagged so it will be street legal. i'll be registering it as a 1985 Honda Shadow, so hopefully that will go easily - and with GEICO insurance, its a one fee of 99 dollars for the year, liability only...

also i talked to a friend that does security systems which is going to install GPS tracking service, just in case it gets stolen###

anyway here is the video of the test ride yesterday...

This is a fine example of excellent craftsmanship. Really pleasing machine. Do you have any estimates on range, top speed, acceleration?
My favorite is your battery placement with those fins and all.
Again, great job
