0-250V power supply

Postby cwah » Sat Aug 11, 2012 5:37 am

Guys,

Just found this on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Voltage-0- ... 3f1860bd5b

It charges at 1A only, but you can adjust the voltage to anything up to 250V!!

Let say you have a 100V pack lipo, just plug it and it charges at 100W!

Leave it overnight with lipo alarm and your pack is full, with the right voltage ;)

Charging lipo While you sleep is a good way to die. DO NOT Bulk charge lipo while you are not paying atention. NEVER!
Im not safety police but we don't need people burning their houses down! If you want to bulk charge do it fast enough you can do something neer by and AWAKE! So you can keep an eye on the lipo alarms! PS what if an alarm fails?? The only way that maybe ok to charge while you sleep is at the cell level and even then don't do it! Not with cheep HK lipo!
Thanks Justin of http://www.ebikes.ca/
Also a thanks to Methy at http://www.methtek.com/ :)
And Dave who has some good deals on STUF
RC lipo and most other types of Lithium batteries you MUST know your individual cell voltages while charging and discharging.
Batteries of all kinds need respect they can burn your house down, so don't sleep with them under your bed or any other were you cant afford smoke or fire!
[color=#FF0000][b][size=150]Never above 4.2v never below 2.7v EVER!!!

Good to see Arlo1 so concerned about safety! 8)

If you have the LiPo in a vented flue-open fireplace, then you could charge there and not burn the house down. Or, some fireproof area outside too. Obviously, need Smoke Alarm & Fire Extinguisher there too.

The amp range is zero to one amp, and only the voltage is adjustable. Max output is 250w but limited to 1 amp, so you could charge at 1A at 100v.

Cwah, will you try this charger then? ;)
