Extra connector on the Crystalyte 4840?

Ok, I got the Hall Effect connector re-soldered on without scorching my fingers TOO much...

I am running again... (yea!)

Everything WORKS, but I have a question...

I have an UNUSED 3-pin connector on my controller.

I have everything connected...throttle, Brake Inhibits, Cruse Control, Hall Effect, Power in, 3-phase out....

Now I have the NEW revision controller if that makes any difference... I have,'t opened the case yet (too many screws for today) but am curous what it might be for (Reverse maybe?)

Thoughts ?

Are there any recommended Mods for Longevity or Usefulness ?

I will be doing the Throttle mod soon as my wife wants SLOW...

Is that connector intended for a pedal sensor? Some of the Euro countries require the controller to cut motor power if the bike is not being pedalled.

Perhaps it's for some sort of hall sensor output, for a speedometer or other cycling computer. Ebikes.ca builds a custom interface for their CycleAnalyst into the clyte controllers they modify and sell. I would not be surprised if others did the same.

Having the adjustable current limit is pretty handy. If you get a CA, it has this function as well as many more.
