A shame.... It seems revision 'H' still has problems like the old ones

Will the other one iv ordered do the same god damm thing ? its the 500 phase amp, 250 battery amp, 72 volt higher model controller.

I have just sent them an email asking about warranty... Id like to just swap the controller for another motor

I dont know. But it would be reasonable to assume that GoldenMotor would use the same control firmware for all models in the family of the same revision.

Something that would be great to avoid

"The Sevcon on this bike is [........] rock solid an reliable, ONCE TUNED. It's like a death in the family to get tuned, it's going to leave you with a week of frowning and restless sleep, and thousands of dollars in labor with an expert dyno tuning your setup to get it to operate. Once you have it operational, it's like stepping into heaven everytime you operate the vehicle." :|

(And dont forget the $$$ purchase of the proprietry Sevcon tuning software, even if you do opt for a 3rd-party hardware interface)

What brushless controller would you suggest for 200 battery amps?

My gf would most likely kill me if i got a sevcon.

There's not alot of choice is there....

A bit underrated for your demand, and as yet unreleased/unproven >> http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=37377

I'd be aprehensive to use a Kelly, as there are too many reports of their unreliability. >> http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=32744&hilit=Kelly&start=30#p476037

Your best bet might be rolling the dice with a Greentime 36FET. >> http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=33636&start=135#p591307

I was really hoping these beastly GoldenMotor controllers would be a good mid-price/moderately programmable option. Seeing as Luke says the PCB layout/Power Bussing is good, the FET's and snubber caps could be upgraded with relative ease. But dodgy firmware is a deal breaker......
