Reversing the polarity on battery

We have a GIO electric scooter which has the polarity reversed on the battery. Does anyone know if one can simply switch the negative and positive wires around?

This particular brand of electric scooters apparently puts a specific model out like this. The charger and everything that come with them correspond. Our issue is that we don't have a charger that that fits it.

Do you mean the socket you connector the charger to is simply wired back-to-front?

confirm your theory with a DVM. then wire it correctly.
i often cut off the charger plug and use my own plug/jack.

Your'e question is rather vague. Could you please give more specific detail of your current wiring, and in your question? Where people are reading betwenen the lines to try and help ould lead to damage / more damage, giving this detail will help you to get the proper advice you seek.
