I have used a press drill, 3.5 and 3mm drill bits, some epoxy glue
3.5mm hole for reed switch:
3mm hole for 2x 3x1 magnets (The less magnets you use, the smaller working distance.)
Magnets glued in place:
Reed wire extension before/after:
Reed switch and magnets in place:
gap when handle is pressed:
Completed mod:
Reed switch could be glued in place or held by a 3mm screw. The later allows for action adjustment but must be done with care as over tightening the screw might deform reed switch making it always on. Mine works fine:
Dont have a photo yet but adding a touch of black paint makes the mod indistinguishable, OEM look

P.S. I'd like to note that these reed switches work putting magnet on a side at the top, only operation distance decreases then. Might be useful for someone like me who did not had experience with reed switches.
