controller screw size -- lost my screws

So I purchased an ebike second hand at an auction some time back. I took the controller apart to do some recon and I managed to lose the screws that hold the aluminum end caps on. Does some happen to know what size and thread the screws are? This is a typical cheap no-name 12 Fet controller.

I'd probably just take it to a hardware store and try a bunch of sizes, or just buy a bunch of sizes and bring them to the controller.

Dang, without seeing them or even where exactly they go. When video equipment has been missing screws, they've often been 3mm, which is a nightmare as I always had trouble finding them. Usually they wound up coming off some old piece of equipment getting scrapped.

Oh, wait, we can buy them online now. YEEEEEAHHHH!

I used some short self tappers when I lost my screws off an aluminium casing repurposed from an old controller

I picked up some #4 x 3/8" pan head phillips sheet metal screws at Home Depot. They fit perfectly.
