Hello!

I want less noise with my BPM motor too. I use controller of elifebike and it a bit noise at starting and with vmax.

In other forum, guys says that few controllers can produce less noise with the BPM.

What is the best controller to use with BPM to have less noise? Thanks.

If you think you would be happy with a max amps setting of 20A, the BPM is a good choice. Perhaps a sine-wave controller would run a little quieter (not silent, but a little quieter). Even if you get the controller to make the motor part run quieter, there will still be some gear-noise in the geared hub motors.

That's easy to answer, the BMS Battery S12S sine-wave controller;

I have a 2WD with basicly the same motor frt. and rear. The frt. controller is an older Infineon square-wave and the rear is the S12S.
The difference between the two is nite and day. The frt. motor is growly and crunchy sounding and the rear is dead silent, seriously. No whine, nothing
But the Infineon is faster because the S12S ramps up very smoothly and it's only a 23 Amp controller. But that's enough for a BPM unless you tackle BIG, long hills.
A bonus to using a new sine-wave controller is it can be mated to the new SLCD-3 display;

This nifty unit gives you all kinds of info. and offers features like;
PAS
Cruise
LVC
and 5 level assist.
This last one lets you pick a speed, set the cruise and pedal along wiyhout holding the throttle :lol:

They kind of get ya on the shipping from China, so look thru the site and order any stuff you might want(think spares too).
MTL34 is putting together a bulk order for next month, which could save you some shipping if you are not in a hurry
BMS Battery has been getting me orders in 7 to 10 business days, pretty good.

Some BPMs are sensorless, in which case the S12S won't work. Does yours have the hall sensor connector?

I'm in sensorless with the BPM but i can connect hall sensor if need.

The S12S controller is only compatible if hall sensor are connected?

What about the S12SH?

35A seems to be better for the BPM

The BPM, like any motor runs better using the hall sensors. It's also very good with the S12S.

The axle size is 10 x 12 mm.

Looking at the BMS Battery site, the S12S doesn't have the regen, whereas the S12H has. However in the following thread it looks like the S12S has the regen too : http://cyclurba.fr/forum/327823/sine-wave-controller.html?discussionID=12145 . To be clarified with BMS Battery.

Where did you see the sh has regen?

Look at the PDF file in the download tab. There 2 plugs called EABS (grey cables). I am assuming it is the regen.

I have a newer version of the S12S. When the brake lever is pulled, and the bike is decelerating, there is a backwards pulsing indication on the battery display. I don't know if this Indicates regen, as I have a geared hub.

35A is OK for BPM? 25A is more safe no?
