The motor (HS3540) have less than 10km. When I connected it the first time, it was running smoothly. Then, the next day, I started it, drove about 300 meters, and the motor started doing a weird sound (check the video I took yesterday : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2O1wG1iCXU). On the video, I am applying 20% throttle, the motor rotates but makes a weird clicking sound and then it stops by itself. Then, I apply like 10% throttle and it doesnt stop but it does a weird sound.

Do you know what it can be ?

I can't see the vid (wifi too slow) but the way the axle wires exit near the cover it's possible to get damage on some of them. You might check for that, to ensure none of the hall wires are broken or shorted to the frame or axle.

It could also just be a loose connection between motor and controller, and that's easy enough to check for at teh connectors and contacts themselves.

Check the hall and phase wire connectors. if you see nothing there, test the halls.

I would love to test that, however, unfortunately, I cannot probe the sensors because of the connectors type (its the new 5 pins that crystalyte are now using). What do you guys do in that kind of case ? scratch the wire rubber to get acces to the copper ?

Weird. Sounds like something else. Did you check anything else rubbing like a cable or zip tie?
Yeah I doubled check that. Also, all the system shut off automatically when i am applying throttle. So, it is an electrical problem for sure.

Well, if you can't probe any of the wires then you can't test it to find out what's wrong. ;)

If you don't want to cut into the cable's insulation anywhere, then you could open up the controller itself and measure at the PCB. Just make sure you are doing all your testing on a nonconductive surface, when the controller has any power applied.
