Does anyone send their shocks in for recommended service?

Shocks and forks are recommended to be serviced around once a year.

I was wondering if any of you actually ever send them in if they are not having issues, or possibly rebuild yourself.

Since we are using these components on ebikes do we need to service them even more often than if we used them on a non-powered bike?

My first ebike I build was an 'entry level' bike and the shocks are now super rock hard. Since I got a new bike I decided to keep much better care of my shocks.

For my commuter I tend to give it a treatment with pure silicon spray as instructed by this guy on this video but he uses 'Fork Juice' which I have read on other forums is just Silicone spray.
