Harmony H | Sync

Does anyone know if the NuVinci Harmony H | Sync controller can be used on BB drives like the 8 Fun or StokeMonkey?

They use it on some Kalkhoff OEM crank-drive bikes, so it should be OK. I tried one of those bikes; however, the automatic changing didn't work at all for me. My friend, who is much lighter than me tried it and pronounced that it worked perfectly. Somebody said that they've changed the software now, which makes it better, but I have a manual N360 on one of my crank-drives and it takes a lot of effort to change gear when going uphill, i.e. when the chain is under high load. I was wondering if the servo just doesn't have enough power in that situation.
