Backwards Pedal for PAS

My PAS only works when I pedal backwards. It works great, but backwards takes some of the charm out of it.

Is it possible that putting the sensor, or magnets, backwards causes this????

Sounds like the sensor / ring is mounted backwards / on the wrong side?

Mine did the same thing when I setup my CAv3 today and I noticed that you can reverse the parameters, flipped 'em and all was good.
Not sure if your running the CA or not though...

A backwards pedal to signal regen.... now there's a thought. Anybody try it?

What is your setup? There are many kits and complete ebike systems out there.

If your PAS works backwards, you flip the magnet disc to make it work forwards.

Oh, ok, my magnets were on backwards. Works great now.

Battery wire got quite hot so I decided to put shorter and larger gauge cable there. When I cut the old lead off the controller SPLAT an arc. Why don't they put freaking bleeding resistors across the caps?? ?Hope I didn't blow a fuse....

I guess they leave out a bleeding resistor so that you can leave the battery permanently connected. That way, you can switch the controller on/off as the main switch, otherwise, you'd need to switch the main battery wires or the BMS.
