how to unpin plugs

I have a crystalyte controller with a 4 pin plug for throttle. I am trying to fit a ebike.ca 3 pin plug as a replacement. I have figured out the pin outs already ( I don't need pin#4 and it is already cut as configured and worked this way for over a year).

I am trying to take the pins/wire out of the 4 pin plug and do the same for the 3 pin plug and swap them. But I can't figure out how to take the wire pins out. Surely there must be a way. Or is it easier to cut the wires, re crimp and buy a new plug?

Ok, I got them off. Used a needle pin to push top of the wire. The top being the side where the plug security clip sits. It required a bit of pulling force to get the wires out once the needle pin was stuck in there.
