Em3ev controller remote power switch

Hi,

EM3EV controllers come with an optional bar mounted power switch for the controller

Anyone tried replacing this with a switch that requires a key to operate? Or is it pointless as its so easy to Hotwire?

Any switch will do, no matter if it has a key or not. For security, why not consider having a little jumper instead of a switch, that you just put in your pocket when you leave the bike. It's easy to jumper the connector of course, if you knew to do it, but it is not so obvious and an opportunist might not be so clued up as to what is required to power up the bike

I suppose I could just hide the switch in either the triangle bag or a bag on the back.

Keyswitches on SB Cruiser and CrazyBike2 are glued inside tubing of the frame, so no easy hotwiring of those. If they knew where those wires went they could still do it, but they'd have to figure that out with all the various other wires around the frame (for those that are not actually inside the frame).
