I have a 48 to 72 volt 60 amp crystalyte controller. I'm operating it on a 52 volt battery (58 fully charged) When the voltage is below about 55 volts and I shut it off, I have trouble turning it back on again. I have to play with the the switch turning it on and off for a little bit then it will make a little static sound and the crystalyte analyst will blink on and off and finally after a little time it turns on. Is there a commom cause for this?

Is this by any chance the smooth controller box with that push button switch? Stupid switch dies fast. it also doesn't truly shut the controller down, just turns off the low voltage side. The controller will still draw power when that switch is off. I had 2 of those controllers and both had switch failures. So I removed then and just jumpered the wires together.
The controllers are great aside from that switch.

No, mine doesn't have the push button switch. It has a regular red switch. The controller has an led on it. It has the ridges on the surface of the controller.
