Hello,

Need help repairing my crank freewheel. I hate to say that I have no cues on part names, please bear with me. I have the first generation GNG 48 volt with LightningRod’s plates.
An image of the broken16 tooth freewheel is attached.
Does the Park FR-6 freewheel tool remove this item?

Is this a “stock” item? Possible to get a heaver duty version?

Is it possible to change to chain-ring from 44T to higher tooth count? Increasing the tooth count I hope would help with the touchy throttle. I really do not need high torque or speed, just using my bike for work commuting and exercise.. no steep grades or heavy loads. Having a wider range on the throttle would be great.

Thank you for any pointers.

Best Regards,
Tom

Yes, you will probably need some remover tool.
You can upgrade it for
https://www.danscomp.com/products/461002/ACS_Crossfire_Freewheel.html
or Pro version.

But if you want to change chainring for bigger, you would start thinking about LR #219.

Other option is, if you didn't do it, change primary drive to #25 chain and sprockets. That would help increase reduction.
Last option is to use 36V to decrease motor rpm.

The link helped. Got the 16t on the way.
I kept the belt on the primary side. I may have to bite the bullet and modify the throttle itself.
Thanks,
Tom

It depends on tooth count. This would suit

I have a set of crank arms and crankset from GNG if youre interested. I use a different crankset so I can sell it all for cheap

Thanks for the offer. My cranks are OK, crankset... looking for better myself. The freewheel... still got to get it off... looking at the ACS Crossfire or going full bore with Whites Ind. + chainring from Sick Bike Parts.
