I am thinking a 22" rim, and the appropriate tires. 20" being too small, and 24" being too large.

Arlo - looks sexy. What mods did you have to do to make them fit? What's the total diameter?

Have you seen the 2.5x16 pirellis on my bmx? I found them 2 years ago and now a lot of the bmx wheel guys use them.
The 2.25x15 on this bmx almost fit like a stock tire. I will measure them soon for the CA calibration but they will be about 20.5" Od As for the rest I laced a motorcycle wheel to the HS35 so I could cross lace it for more strength. The front just slides right in where the stock one was!

I like these 26x1.5" (really 1.75") Specialized Nimbus slicks. They corner great and aren't overly bulky, and seem durable so far. PSI up to 80, though I only run about 35 since my bike is a rigid right now.
Mush! Mush you electrons! Push harder!
Main ride: Old School Specialized Stumpjumper FSR, Clyte HT3525, 74v lifepo4, 12fet Infineon set to 26amps. And a bunch of others... viewtopic.php?f=6&t=34236&p=497325#p497325.

The reason I found the 16 inch moped tires in the first place was because I was sick of the smallest thing giving me a flat. Now I actrualy have a tire that has a substantial amount of material to puncture for a flat. I lucked out finding tires with such great grip!

Continental has an Ebike specific tire for heavy weight and high speed. The Schwalbe are a little pricey for high mileage use on the rear.

I would have to see how long they last. The drawing doesn't look like they have much rubber over the tread. I think I am going to go with a cheaper Kenda for the rear.

Good to know Conti makes 3-ply tires now. Still too skinny for my need (I like 2.5" phatties) - but I appreciate their effort to cater to our market. :)
