Hey guys I have my bike made and ready to go. Only thing I want to add on that's low cost is dome panniers.

I measured the width of my rear rack and it's nearly 6 inches so I need some panniers to fit over that. I would like mostly smaller ones. I will only need for small items for work that I cannot always fit in backpack and will also keep a larger repair kit in it. I am open to any recommendations for specifics or brands as I know nothing really about them. I would like to stay on the cheaper end less than 80 dollar or so shipped.

Thanks.
Regan

Those are nice pannier and top bag combos.

I was carrying a metal tool box on top of my rack that had a lifepo4 battery in it. So I went with some individual panniers that hung on the side of the rear rack. Mine were Schwinn brand, only about 20 bucks each at a walmart.

But more recently, I really like the vinyl motorcycle bags on my current ride.Completed bike, front disc brake added.jpg

Of course nobody likes the wind drag of panniers. But loading a pack with the stuff you need to carry sucks a lot more in some climates.

If you just need a small bit of carry capacity, a messenger bag is the most comfy way. A dedicated commute bike though, it may need to carry rain gear, fix kit, the heavier coat you needed in the AM, and dinner on the way home.
