Raise a few controllers to 80A exactly

Hey Guys,

I have some experience with soldering controller shunts and increasing cooling but I'm considering doing this for a bunch of controllers at once.
Is there an easier way other than riding with the bike under load with an amp meter while putting on/taking off solder from the shunt until I get to the exact amp rating that I'm after?

Also, how does shunt soldering affect the continues vs. peak amps?
Most 45A controllers settle on about 35A when they reach full speed and only consume 45A on an incline or acceleration, so if I double the amp draw then how will it perform (continues vs. peak for the new amp draw)?
