KMX-Typhoon by ecross 2nd build 2012

Postby ecross » Mon Jul 09, 2012 5:04 am

Hello,

my second KMX-Typhoon is arrived.

This Typhoon setup should be for good acceleration. And I will use only 24S or 100V.

I`m looking for a new H4080 or H4065 motor, because I think this motor is more powerfull then my HS-3540 and 2805.

Can anybody help, please?

First I can build this Typhoon with a modd. NC-2805. I will use moped tire like ContiGo 16x2,25".

Here some pics from the building:

I'm interested in the computer fan and drilled hole setup. Does the computer fan really make a significant difference?
Looking forward to watching this build!

im sure the fan will help, any airflow will help.

Id go for the 40mm stator magnets for sure if you can get that motor series ..
if you cant get that, there is always the magic pie, but cro motor would go nicely as well... but imho, id rather get a decent mars motor for that money

im pretty set on making one of these with a chain drive setup, would be super easy to mount a motor

20kw + there might be a chance of getting it to do dangerous power wheelies
Magic pie Dual Suspension
Peak 6kw Air cooled
Kelly controller (mini kbs series, smaller than a coke can, can do 80+ battery amps peak, Favorite small controller. Really punchy)
20s 16ah
60 kmh,
Safe, Beautiful handling.

Hopefully they will help, but we will see. I have installed a temp-probe inside the motor windings so I can test different fan setups.
At my first KMX-Typhoon I have 2x fans and they are great on hot weather conditions.

Looks good! Do you normally keep your throttle on the left side?

I would try a pressure blower to direct a stronger air flow that would not be lost from the motor turning, and to get some air into the drilled holes

In the past I test my throttle on the right and on the left side. I prefer my throttle on the left side and brake on the right side.
