Yeah, post it...I did a few pages back. BTW nobody commented on that. Pg 79.

Whilst browsing the ES forums, I found a charger that looks exactly like the one I got with my Stealth.

Anyone know much about it or where it can be purchased?
Whilst I want to support Stealth and all, the $140 they want to charge for a second charger seems a little steep to me, but I could be wrong.

Cheers

When you think about it, even $140 for a 600W charger is really quite cheap. You need to be sure of what you are buying when comes to chargers. Get it wrong, and you will be kicking yourself for not taking the safe option.

Agree, which is why I'm asking if the same charger is out there, maybe cheaper. If not, that's ok. Just thought I'd ask before forking out for the one from Stealth.

My measurements (using a plug-in watt meter) show that the charger I've got is pulling a max of 350w.

bmsmbattery chargers are quite over rated, I have one of their "600w" chargers and it only puts out around 450w. I don't know whether they are only 75% efficient and quoting input power or the the current or turned down at the factory to make them last longer or they're just plain overrated. They're also pretty heavy so international shipping isn't cheap. $140 from stealth is actually pretty reasonable considering you can get it locally and quickly (ie not 2-3 weeks) and know that the voltage is exactly right for your bike.

ok, cool. Thanks Hyena.

I don't like to cause a stir (as I know John reads this thread), but I do like to research anything that costs me more than $100.

Thanks again.

On such a tight track, looks like the Bomber is holding its own. Great footage.

Hey, I recognise some of that.
Did you do some of that on your Bomber before you sold it?

That's right. Good eye!

The rough section (when the music changes) is same as on

from 1:20 on and

from 0:50 to 1:10 and from 2:20 on

The final section with the chest mount is going the other way on

and

I really like that track, ride it on the roadbike to avoid the stairs around. It also appeared on a commercial during last year's Tour for a glimpse. I actually run into them while they were filming.

Great video ! Nice riding. Good music. Nice mix of camera angles, and some good editing.

Was it a DSLR for the off-board footage?

Slick video full throttle!
I really need to get a second camera man, there's only so much you can do with a 1 man band (though spinning helicopter blade like booms on your helmet comes close  )

Is there a freewheel removal took made that will fit over a Bombers axle without modifying it?

No there isn't. You need to get a standard tool and grind it to fit. Its case hardened so its a pain to do. You will need a die grinder with a an abrasive attachments that will get though the case hardening. Don't try drilling or filing it. You will wreck you tools.

Fighter uses a different tool. It uses a standard shimano tool. It may need a bit of internal grinding too. I need to remove a freewheel from a Fighter this weekend so I will soon find out.

Yep, I bought a standard cheapy then used a lathe to open the hole out big enough to clear the axle - you'll need to to be atleast 15mm

I NEED A LITTLE TECHY HELP

Hi Guys, I did a ride out last weekend and the bike got quite muddy so I washed it down with hot soapy water as normal and then lightly hosed off with hot water. Dried in the sun with a leather and then an air line, finished off with a bike spray to stop rust. I put the bike away and got it out a week later, turned it on and woah.....FULL throttle 4.3kw big wheelie and luckily I shut it down quickly.

I then turned the key on again, of again, on etc....it either goes Wot (wide open throttle) or nothing at all, I.e. the throttle does nothing. I have checked the 5pin sensor wire by the crank and that is dry as a bone. Do we think this is a controller issue, a throttle issue or maybe a ca issue?

Any ides.....

I have taken the end cover off the controller to let it air and the side panel is off the bike to allow airflow there.

Normally I would just ping this to John but expect he is on his weekend now.
