Lookin good man! Am I seeing that right? The swingarm
rotates around the Bottom Bracket? If so, I like this idea, my Cove G-spot had this design and clamped onto bearings around the bottom bracket.

Hi Farfle,
Its coming together well. Can I ask a quick question, how did you bend the rectangle steel for your swingarm :?: It looks a lot better than what I did for mine.

It appears the swingarm pivot is a couple inches behind the bottom bracket. I wonder if the connection there is stable enough against torsional moments.

The Greyborg frame has coaxial bearings for the swingarm.

A frame that flexes at high speeds around corners would be a concern. Single pivot designs seem to have those issues.

Multi link suspension can be just as flexy, if not moreso from the additional slop of multiple pivots. It is more important to design the pivot and swingarm correctly than to worry about the type of linkage.

Farfle is going to wind his motor, and im gessing its going to be a fast wind. Like 15kv, so he can use 4110 mosfets that handle more current. :)

hhaaha its SO true; i hadn't noticed. Trusting your $$$ to those chinese brand red plastic connectors lol. That would make one hell of an interesting vid; i can see the youtube caption now: "...skip to 1:43 to see one pack weld itself to the table... skip to 10:54 for the fireball...".

The stock/factory connectors look like they provide some protection. But never hurts to be too safe.
Best quote I heard about wiring lipos

"Like working with a hand gernade with the pin pulled out"

Yep take off the wedding ring. Or electical tape it if it does not come off.
When possible try to use plastic knife rather than metal knife for cutting.
Move all metal tools off the bench. Only work with 1 exposed wire at a time.

Do you plan on sticking with the stock connectors or install new/different ones?

Lipo language translated for those in need.
24s3p explained
24s is 4bricks. Each brick has six individual cells. So 24s is 4X6
3p is 3sets of the 4bricks

Anyways looking good. Cant wait to see the final product.

I would never work with batteries, especially those batteries on any steel table except that one, it doesn't conduct at all, cause it's been lacquered so many times. but anywho, I got the BMS set up today, but it's not working, all the cells are perfectly balanced, but the end of charge light doesn't turn green, so the meanwells just sit there floating at 100.8v. And why is it the more awesome a battery is, the more it looks like a bomb

The bms is the ggoodrum/fechter zephyr lite, google it and you will find the sphere thread on it. And speaking of the bms, I got it working, right upuntil I plugged the meanwells into an improperly wired outlet that cooked 3/4 of them

Looking Great!!!
Love the adjustablity of the rear shock mount.
More tuning choices.

Back to the Bottom Bracket that you posted about on page 1 with a nice picture.

You mentioned you lengethed it 1 inch.
Did you have to modify the cartridge/internals that connect the pedals?

I found a 100mm wide bottom bracket from here.

http://www.paragonmachineworks.com/cgi- ... key=BB2010

How wide (left to right) is the modified bottom bracket you made?

Anyway my new favorite tread. Keep up great work.

Looks great Farfle, I'll have to get a rearview mirror so I can see that thing in action. Take those shrouds off the forks and let that thing breath. How have you healed up from your accident? Gatorbrakes huh? I got those mounted on the front too, I'm wondering how they do, I expect a full review.

those gator brakes stop very well, just take a bit to seat the pads. No problem locking up the front with a 203mm or the 11.75" rear rotor I have on my 5303.

better stopping power than any other bicycle brakes I have ever used....
