After looking over your pics I have a few questions: Is that a custom headrest? Do you have any details? What is mounted at the end of your boom? I zoomed in on the pictures and couldn't tell.

Larger front rims will solve that problem. The narrow front rims make the tire to roll laterally when cornering and make poor stability and grip.

Hallo Tpower,

thanks for your return. The great Avatar is from the great insola del giglio! This is the very best testing area in the world. Only sun, blue sky and water and no traffic, and diver, and diver are not troublemaker for trike driver. I create some gopro videos befor the gopro dies!

To your setup questions, it is a old shit HS3540 with some modding like sensors and bigger phase cables and more, pics are in work.
A giglio edition is also in work because I need more uphill power for overtaking the fast Apes....
I prefer to use the great Lyen 12FET 4110 controller
All my batterys are the great LiIons with 18650 and 26650 from Sony, Sanyo, Panasonic and Samsung.
Like the Konions for Markita Powertools, Dr. Bass also use this batterys and I feel save...
End of summer I will drive to insola del giglio, we can see us and have fun and a race to the great lighthouse.
Please post also pics from your KMX here.

Hello Ypedal,

i`m also not sure why i need for +100USD tires per mounth, do you have a idea?

In the back now I change to moped tires, hopefully they have more livetime......

Do you have bigger 20" bike or 16" moped rims for me?!

I will test now a new Continental ContiGo in the size 16" 2 1/4". I can post a pic later.

Please post a pic from your back rim!

Thanks for your good questions:

-I use the original KMX headrest (KMX HEADREST) quit expensiv but good and good looking alu parts
-Do you need more pics?
-At the end of my boom is a KMX light holder, then a Topeak BarXtender very good stuff, and a LCD-Backlight-Range-Time-Trelok LS950 black edition 70 Lux
LIIon inside and mini-usb charging plug I love this LS-950.

Hello Doc,

KMX-Typoon driving is great, or?

At this time I`m building my second KMX-Typhoon, because I need a "Giglio" edition for the fast APEs. This APEs are very fast and also have 3 tires. One in the fron and two in the back and two wheel driving in the back! For the front, I have some wider rims, but i`m looking for wider rims for the back. First I test my new moped tire ContiGo in 16" x 2 1/4" and for the future I need also some wider rims for the back.

Whitch tires do you prefer to drive front and rear? Good 16" front tires are rare, I use the Maxxis Hookworm 16x1,95" and some wider SALT 16x2.25 for better ground suspension, this is a tip from my side for much softer suspension and steering at faster speed.
Do you use a steering damper? When I drive faster then 80kmh....why not?

My second KMX is waiting for your great TA-system, when is your next batch ready for shipping, please, please?

For strong regen I will use your TA-system. And it is better and clean looking as my getto-style system now. Some pics later....

I'm waiting for 2 sets of these :

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-NEW-VEE-RUBBE ... 6rk%3D1%26

suggested by Doc, should arrive this week or early next week.

I already have the wide rims.. i have many of these :
http://ypedal.com/Chaos5.htm

However, my next step is to sort the huge mess of wires from my lipo pack so that i can bulk charge, monitor, and ballance the pack safely and without having to cut electrical tape every time lol.

Dear Ypedal,

thanks for the links.

I dont need a 3" tire, because I don`t have so massive power like you and Dr. Bass. I use mysmall HS-3540 with 2 x 12S4P Sony 26650 cells, around 100V and 50 - 60A battery current. I will test next time a 16" to 2 1/4" ContiGo tire. Please send the weight from the bigsize 3.0" VeeRubbers. I can post the weight also from the ContiGo.`My Schwalbe, Swallow 16" x 2 1/4" moped tire are quit her job after only 3 weeks. Hope the very new ContiGo had much more livetime in future?!

Send you a PM for the wider rims. Thanks.

Hi Ecross,
yes the "Schettino island"... it's wonderful.
Here some pics of my KMX from two or three weeks ago, this week end i made some new pics with last evolution(self made headrest).
My typhoon farme it's modified, now the front wheels are 200mm more larger than the original, now the overall Width it's 101cm... match more stabyl in the corner.
I have also 20" rims in front, but not match wide...next ev.step i like to put 56mm wide rims also in front(my rear rim it's 20"x56mm).

Hi Tpower,

how was the welding job? I think also this is a good idea for better handling in fast corners.
Do you have some better pics for us?

Hi some more pics and new infos!

Today I have some great testing rides with my HS3540 and my great NC-2805.

The new speed list is now 101kmh, or 62,76mph with 2805,
and 98kmh, or 60,89mph with the old HS3540.

My Garmin GPS told me 2kmh more but anyway good speed results.

attached you will find some pics.

Hi Ecross,
you can not see the weldings because they are covered by the strap to fix the batteries, simply i have insert 10cm of the same frame squared tube for each side.
Yes,now in the corner it's match match better!
Great speed result from NC motor!...but what you tell about torque, temperature,in comparison whit HS3540?

Hello,

the new 16" 2 1/4 tire is now also finished. But this was a good test for the livetime.

The second tire in the pic is a Schwalbe Marathon 20" x 1,75".

So I test now a new ContiGo 16" to 2 1/4" in future.

Hello Tpower,

thanks for the new pic. Please send also a pic with your battery-box.

In the wintertime I want also create a wider frame, but is 50mm each side not enught? 101cm is here in germany to wide for the small bike lanes.

The 2805 is fast rpm and faster then the 3540. The torque is less and the temperature little more so I go the some PC-Fans both sides from the case.
The case from the 3540 is also open with 20mm holes. I think this is very good for hard driving. Now it is warm here in germany and I can test different setups from the fans.

In the past I killed a NC-2807 with 24S and 40A....
