In addition to. The washers should do an excellent job of preventing your axle from getting loose on the dropout, but it won't prevent the dropout from getting torn off if there's too much torque applied to it.

Absolutely, Iinstalled one each on both of my 9C hubs last night, and they fit perfectly. They just aren't as wide of a washer as you might expect. They will hide under the nuts on your axle, compared to the standard washer that will stick out. Your only concern would be if you have enough axle length to acomodate the added thickness, as they are quite thick. But that's to be expected, if you watch the video, you will understand why. Enclosed are pics of my bikes with Nordlocks under the axle nuts.

Hope that helps.

Nordlocks absolutely 100% rock the pants off any other solution to keeping tension on a fastener (short of welding it).

You're a good man for buying a box of them and distributing a normally costly thing to acquire at a reasonable price.

Some ebike reseller should start including them with kits. It would simply end all the nuts loosening related failures.
For ebike parts, don't be a douche, buy from http://www.ebikes.ca or http://www.MethTek.com

you are more(100X) :!:
Nords are a must have or the Disc-Lock nut where the locking part is already embedded on the nut, although the former has a higher Rockwell hardness.

I put a set of Nord-Locks on my 9C 6x10 build awhile back. With the aluminum dropouts and dual torque arms I really don't want anything getting loose! Recently I needed to remove them for some work. As I removed them I could feel the tension increase, then drop after the ramp was passed, exactly as they are designed to work. They work really well when applied correctly. Highly Recommended!

The normal configuration is a pair per nut.

100 Mile Nord Lock Review

Postby bionx 1954 » Fri Jul 29, 2011 8:08 pm

Hi I got my Nord Locks a few days ago from Emmanuel (great guy to deal with) about a week from ordering them

I have a 9C 2807 front 26 in running on 72V Lyens sensorless controller that can peak at about 2500 watts. I do run dual torque arms, but the axle nuts still come loose some what. I installed 2 pairs (one per side) they are about 3/16 in. each set. They have a serrated side and a step/cam side, as you tighten them you can feel the ratchet effect, and when removed a loud pop when the pressure is released.

Well I went for a 2 day ride of 100 miles and check the nut periodcally and they STAYED TIGHT with no movement.

I think for a mere $ 7.50 for 2 pair that is CHEAP INSURANCE AND PEACE OF MIND. Thank Emmanuel Neil

Nord-lock's are the absolute best in fastener locking technology. Money well spent for all those who bought them.
