Excellent work, love the clean look! Do you have any close-up pics of your chain drive set-ups and mounts?

This is my next project; I plan to use a little cute motor in a crank drive configuration.

Did you directly bolt the sprocket to the hub motor casting?

Do you have any videos of the chain drive units operating?

I bet your bikes are all street legal. After all here in Germany we´re only allowed to use a maximum of 250 watts. Furthermore you need a sensor on the bikes cranks, that only allow you to use the electric motor while peadling. Yep, that´s how it is. I´m still hoping the cops will never stop me, cause then the trouble would really hit me.

What catches my eye on your bikes is that you´ve hidden the electrical stuff really well. Also the hub motor appears to be very small in diameter. That´s another way of making the bike stealthy. Good job. :D

yes, there are many dealers in europe. Only the Cute hubmotors must be ordered directly in China.

..by the way, this is my next project (ebike with the bottom bracket motor of Bofeili  )

your new project looks interesting ...
i've seen bofoeili on alibaba and they have interesting bike

the cute motors are for sale in italy (a little pricey but i will have a guarantee from "alcedoitalia" ) and czech republic from http://www.e-bicycles.eu/en/user_order_kits.php

can you give me a link to tongxin sale in europe please ?
some people told me tongxin have problems, they are not robust and they will break after some time or giving it too much power
what's your experience with them?

what controller do you use? what's the max current you send into your littlest motors (cute or tongxin)?

thank you nader

I know a dealer, who sells tongin in germany http://www.novosport.de/?Produkte:Elekroantrieb_als_Nachr%FCstsatz:Paket_%22_klein%2C_leicht_und_leise%22%3A

ericmann2000 wrote:some people told me tongxin have problems, they are not robust and they will break after some time or giving it too much power

That is correct, the mini tongxin or the mini front cute may not be overloaded.

ericmann2000 wrote:what controller do you use? what's the max current you send into your littlest motors (cute or tongxin)?

I operate these small motors only with max 10A current. I mostly use the three level controller of e-crazyman with Eb206 board (L1 = 6km/h L2=20 km/h L3=28km/h).

salute!

thank you a lot Nader
do you use your tongxin at 36V ?
do you get the same speed from the cute motor ?
do you find differences between them ?

bye

yes my tongxin is 180W 36V motor. I get the same speed from tongxin and the mini front cute (1,6 kg qrf-85sx), but the tongxin is much quieter.

hi eric!

yes this project is allready done and this eBike ist the best, which I ever drove.

Image

It is a 350-400W very strong bottom brackets engine (Bofeili) and can be operated with both 36 and 48V.
The controller is a 15A.

Thereby is 28 mph loosely possible (with 36V) and 17% hill very easy to drive .
..and you can read and see the building process in german pedelec-forum (http://www.pedelecforum.de/forum/showthread.php?7026-Tretlagerantrieb-im-Selbstbau).

Great build Nader! Stealthy & great looking :D

Where do you purchase your water bottle-styled battery casing? I've been searching high and low from various popular sources (conhis/ebike/bmsbattery/ping,etc) but no 1 seems to carry it

Cheers,
Raining

hi Raining,

I took just a normal water bottle (Laken 1,5L) and built a 36V 5Ah battery with konion cells.

anyone know where to get that Laken bottle?? I'm not finding any water bottles with a wide enough mouth to fit batteries. 3" diameter is needed and most are much smaller.

Your bikes are awesome especially the bellacoola bike. Well done on you battery builds too as they look awesome. You should make them and sell them as many people find them very hard to find or don't have the technical ability to do it themselves. where do you hide the controller? I did not see BMS on your battery.

What kind of power are you getting from this motor setup? I have seen these and was thinking they would make a nice lower power option...
Power is a fascinating thing, the more you have, the more you want, but the real power is having the restraint not to use it all at once...............Um...Yeah..

The harder you work.....The luckier you get!!
