$375 COMPLETE, Factory-Sealed Tidalforce S-750 frames/forks

COMPLETE, Factory-Sealed Tidalforce S-750 frames (not parts!)

So far (114) folks on endless-sphere are riding an ebike built using one of my stripped TidalForce S-750 ebike frames/parts. ( As seen here: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=10748 ) The frames are purpose-built for ebikes, with channels inside the frame for wiring, a brace for the rear triangle, and a torque-arm mount. They also have connectors for disk brakes, V brakes, bottle mount, and rear rack mount. It also helps that they are very strong, very light, and a work of art from the welds to the paint job.

Maybe you wanted one too, but didn't want the extra hassle of buying forks and a headset and shifters, and then assembling all the parts yourself, or expense of having a bike shop do it for you? You are in luck, because I also have a few complete, assembled Tidalforce S-750 frames, factory sealed in the original boxes, available for sale.

By complete, I mean if you add wheels, you'll have a bicycle; if you added Tidalforce wheels/wiring/dashboard, you would have a Tidalforce S-750.

By assembled, I mean the the forks and cranks and gear system are all installed. There is minor final assembly required - putting on the pedals, inserting the seatpost, bolting down the handlebars etc. The pictures below detail what's inside - they are from 2007, which was the last time I unsealed one. You can see the packaging is excellent so I expect all frames to arrive in great shape. Unless you want me to unseal the box to verify condition, I only certify that they are packed as shown.

Anyow, I have sold so many of the stripped frames that I was able to move most of my TidalForce collection to long-term storage, and get rid of the expense of my local warehouse. I planned on keeping all of the Factory-Sealed "complete Frames" because they are unique and rare, but when I was done I just didn't have enough room for the last stack of them - so "f--- it" they are for sale. That means you have a chance to buy one of these rare, unmolested, factory-sealed ebike frames only $375 plus shipping/paypal. Both colors, Silver and Red are available.

Move fast, because when this stack is gone, good luck prying more out of me

==============================

Also for $60 you can round out your rear-hub-motor build with this accessory kit:

(1) New 26" Quick-Release front wheel
(1) New Durable Double Kickstand
(1) New OEM 7 speed cluster matching derrailiur

For reference/comparison, here are better pictures of what the STRIPPED frame looks like in silver, and in red. This is what these factory-sealed frames would look like, if you removed $300+ of parts (valued at the prices I sell for here, including discounts!).

Hello Oatnet,
I sent you a pm regarding the purchase of one of your complete frames yesterday. I'm not sure what the response time is for a reply, but I would very much like to buy one of your beautiful complete frames along with the optional $60 package. As I said in the pm, I live in BC Canada and don't know much about purchasing on the internet etc. so if you could provide me with some guidance in completing this wonderful puchase, I would be very appreciative. I won't need babysitting, I just need to know how to do it. It appears to me that you have made a lot of people very happy with the stripped down frames and the way you do business. I appreciate that. This would be my first ebike build, and I wan't it to be very special!
Thank you,
Gary Williams

Sorry Starson, I replied to 5 other people last night and I thought I replied to you too, PM sent.

For everyone else:

We charge Fedex's posted rates. Because the boxes are large ( 47 x 31 x 8 ), Fedex ships them based on the dimensions not weight, so if you prefer to calculate shipping yourself, you can use those numbers.

The forks are "SR SUNTOUR DURO"

Yes, they are the original forks, the box is still factory-sealed when it is shipped. The forks are very solid as they are intended to hold a 30+lb battery wheel in place. They are an upgrade over the ones used on the other Tidalforce models. For price reference, the reseller I bought out was getting $120+ for the forks on eBay. Good is pretty subjective - I think they are pretty good, if you are used to $1100 RockShox Boxxer World Cup forks you might be less impresssed. If you are new to biking, and someone likely to buy a bike from a sporting goods store, you will think they are GREAT. :D 100mm travel is pretty respectable.

Would these forks be suitable for a front hub motor @ 72v 30Amps max?

I am sorry, I would not recommend it. :( I twisted suspension forks with an x4 and will never use a front hub on suspension again. I am sorry to say that I am not a fan of front hub motors in general. I can lose traction on the back wheel and hold it together, but if I lose traction on the front wheel I am going down. I think the torque from a front motor can contribute to loss of traction, especially on substandard surfaces and sharp turns, so I just don't recommend it. I'm not gonna try to talk anyone out of it, we all enjoy this hobby different ways, but when asked, that's my opinion. :D

I was just asked to share the difference between the parts/frames, and the complete frames, so I thought I'd echo what I wrote in the PM.

With the $100 Frame kit, you get:

***** (2) TidalForce S-750 frame in your choice of Silver or Red
***** (2) Bottom Bracket (installed)
***** (2) 3-ring Front Derialluer (installed)
***** (2) Kickstand (installed)
***** (2) Seatpost (installed)
***** (2) Seat (loose)
***** 15% Discount on any other parts paid for and shipped with the frame

I still have these parts for sale, which used to be installed on these frames:

***** $28 SRAM 48t/38t/28t cranksets/ pedal arms
***** $18 Shimano ACERA Rear Derailleurs
***** $14 pair, Wellgo pedals
***** $ 6 pair, Tektro v-brake levers (left and right, imbedded magnet for brake sensor)
***** $ 9 SRAM 7-speed cassettes
***** $ 8 Chains

The $375 complete frame has all of the above parts except the cassette, plus:

***** $40 Shimano twist-shifts/cables
***** $16 Truvativ Handlebars/stems
***** $34 pair, Tecktro v-brakes (Front and rear, includes pads, cables, and mounting hardware, clears 2.5" hookworm tires)

***** Suntor Duo forks (100mm) (reseller was getting $120 for them on ebay)
***** Cane Creek Headset (@ $35 currently)

The parts above add up to a total of $350.40, INCLUDING the 15% discount on the things I offered. By buying the complete frames for $25 more, you have the luxury of having everything pre-assembled, safely wrapped in the original shipping materials, factory-sealed fresh. I think I could have charged a lot more for that luxury part, but I'd rather have buyers' goodwill than a few extra $$$.

OTOH, if you already have parts you want to transfer from another frame, the stripped frames/parts may make more sense for your situation and save you $$$.

Postby sabb » Wed Jul 07, 2010 4:16 pm

I am trying to organise the rest of what I need for when these two arrive and I just realized I don't know if there is a tire on the front wheels, if not what kind of wheel is it and what tire size do you suggest?

then one more question for the rear on one bike I am getting a rim built and need to know what is the widest rim and tire that fits well on the bike?

Thanks

Hopefully tomorrow the red bike and the box with the front wheels will show up as well.

Now that the stripped frames have sold out, these complete ones what I have left to sell. Sorry, I only have Silver bikes left.

I can still ship to Canada, but I am afraid I would need to supply a serious handling charge for repacking it. USPS size restrictions mean I have to cut the huge box down to 21" tall to ship it, while keeping it safe for the trip. I did a pair of these for sabb, and each one took me about a half day to repack, hence the charge.

This is a tremendous deal for anyone getting into eBikes and wants to have a purpose built frame for ebiking.

The S-750 frame is as solid as solid can be yet still has a supple ride. The oversized tubes and super heavy duty rear triangle gives the bike great support for a rear motor. With all of it's strength, it is not a heavy frame and just exudes quality.

I also highly recommend Oatnet as a very honest reliable seller here on ES and really stands behind what he sells!

Re: $375 COMPLETE, Factory-Sealed Tidalforce S-750 frames/fo

Postby thenate1 » Tue Apr 05, 2011 9:50 am

Late last week I contacted Oatnet about getting a couple of Tidalforce frames for myself and my wife. Before the end of the week he had them all shipped out and I got them yesterday. FAST SHIPPING!!!!

The frames are awesome! This is going to be a first class platform to build our ebikes! I am so glad that I started off my build right by spending a little more money than the Walmart bike I was looking at using for my base.

Here is the boxes (I ordered the front wheels and heavy duty kickstand)

Here is the frame out of the box:

And here it is with the handlebars, seat, and kickstand installed:

My whole album can be found here if you are interested:

I will start a build thread once I get the rest of my stuff from Cell_Man.

But I have to give this kit 10 out of 10!!!! First service and product class really!!! I got everything I needed in this kit except the back wheel (which of course comes with the motor kit I am getting). I am adding front disk brakes, rear rack for the battery and a few other odds and ends, but this is a really really really good value!!!!! I can't wait to get this baby running!!! Thanks!!!

Congrats on getting this great frame. I built my ride from this same kit. Awesome bike. You'll love it!

My ebike blog is here. Look at the earlier entries to see my build progress. Everything is evolving, of course. It's gone through multiple changes since I started.

Actually Ambrose, I thoroughly searched the forums about this frame before purchasing. And I saw your build thread and albums...in fact your Picassa album inspired me to try and document my build as well as you did yours. You were instrumental in my decision to buy this frame, so thanks a TON!!!!

I also really liked the "El Steak Super-Commuter" build thread. Thanks everyone for all the build threads - they have really helped me out in the decision process and I am sure they will help even more during the build phase :)
