Well I went and bought 49 x ARTESYN BXB75-48S12FLT DC-DC converters on US ebay the other day (for $52) and I don't need all of them. They're just the thing for powering 12V lights and other gizmos from a 36 - 72V battery pack, they're good for 75Watts and have over temp, over volt and short circiut protection. If there's someone in the US who wants to take delivery of these and then post half on to me and the others to ES members over there to use in their projects then that'd be a good use for them me thinks.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140209559919&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=004
Postage/packing costs can be done with paypal but still they should only run to $10 each maybe less. I'd like to recover my costs for the ones I leave in the US so a buck and a quarter will be included in the price for those who want one. At the moment they're in Lecanto, Florida so if there's any one nearby with the time then all the better but postage within the US is only $18 and obviously I'll cover that and the onward shipping of the rest to me.
If there's any one who thinks this is a good idea and has the time to do a bit of p+p then let me know by posting a reply here (ASAP!), otherwise I'll just have them all sent over here (UK) and I'll distribute them myself or ebay off any I don't need.
These items were sold as untested so it would be good if the person who takes them could power them up and check the output is 12V.
