I plugged in everything as a test and I have two wires I cant figure out what to do with. The two pin connector for "Fwd/Rev" and the 4 pin connector for "E-Brake Regen". Just leave them blank and tape em off?
RC shop down the street from here had the Anderson connectors Ive been looking for! woot. Building the discharge harness for the 12v 33 AH (25 lbs) SLA test battery Ill be using for the first few days. LOLwhopping 4 mph for 30 miles haha.

Your motor has 23 poles and that is what the CA is set to.
You will want to measure your wheel and tune that value
I did not set your shunt in the CA, but the value is written on the controller.
If you are going to run that at 40A mount it where it gets some really good air flow. If it gets too hot to touch back the CA off a tiny bit. Even 5A makes a big difference because heat is the square of current... so 35A will develop significantly less heat than 40A. I suspect that this wont be an issue with your low KV hub. Higher KV hubs allow you to stay on the limit for much longer.
