I daresay someone on the forums must live near the pick up only location... burgess hill, West Sussex, United Kingdom

Great price. Looks like you need 180mm dropouts. No such thing on a production bicycle. Cannot be spoked without some machining either, not sure how you'd fit a freewheel as well. Will definitely require a custom frame and geometry.

The girlfriend bike: 350W front MAC on a 700c Trek.
The wheelie machine: 20" Rear Magic Pie II on a Trek 4300 MTB
The Bus: ??? on a 'da bomb' cargo bike frame

Pro-tips for noobs: Avoid BMS Battery like the plague | Charge RC Lipos to 4.15v, stop discharging at 3.5-3.6v | Use torque plates/arms! | Rear mounted hubs are always best

Yeah i agree with you they would be a fair bit of work getting into a bicycle but I've always wanted to convert a small motor bike for commuting ect. We shall see how cheap they are at the end of the auction might be worth the gamble.

I'd be interested in one as well (UK based) if the price is right.

Ok I've sent pm to the seller asking to reconsider postaging just for the motors and controllers. Unless someone is within a reasonable drive to Sussex ?

Hi Craigh85,
Looks like there are three of us up for one of these motors/controller combos. Did you get a reply back from the seller about posting?

Looking today (Sunday) I see that there are still no bids with 1 day to go.

Hi tom

Yeah he replied but didn't sound too enthusiastic to be honest, he wanted to know what I was offering before considering postage. Then went on to say he has sold these motors on eBay before for over a hundred pounds each. I just left it at that.

Humm!
He may reconsider if he gets no bids?

Then again you could make him an offer? It depends on the ammount each of us is willing to pay for a motor and controller?

2 hours to go and the bidding has started, sitting at £77. Im keeping my fingers crossed that the bidder is someone on ES.

Ive just been telling a mate about this and he said the answers simple. Bid on the item, and if you win it, then contact the seller and explain that your sorry you didnt notice that it was pickup only. Ask him if he still wants to go ahead with the deal? and offer him £20/25 for packing up the goods, then send your own courier to collect.

My mate makes everything sound easy. Sometimes I dont think he lives in the real world

I've done that before, You can but a courier service to ship bikes anywhere in the UK for 20 quid from eBay itself. Worked flawlessly. I was hoping one of us ES fellows was local to the motor who could redistribute the units from there.

Any news on what sucker paid £460 for that motor?

£460 would get you the 13" 8000w variety of that motor plus shipping from China, brand new, with the disc brake option.

Ahhhh....very well then. My bad. Still....Collection only. Too bad. Good deal, if you have time on your hands and the expertise. Apologies.

I have one of those controllers, the one I got from the same seller was a 4410 Mosfet equipped, Hua Tong variety, 48v...not worth the price I paid but I got it so I could study the wiring sequences.

Lead/Pb is a joke of a chemistry for anyone who wants any performance.
