Indeed all good ideas, but I think it's too much hassle to find parking and free parking at that.
All the way on a bike would be very tough especially in winter. And you would want to be able to do at least 50 mph and that's too dangerous, something like a vectrix or better again the zero motor cycles, they look really good and have great batteries, but the vectrix might be the more comfortable with better weather protection.
By the way I made a mistake with my fuel calculations, instead of euros per gallon I meant USD.
I really would like to live much closer to work as 10 hrs commuting a week is a waste of time! The pie would be a great commuter, I remember running it on 24 S LiPo and 80 amps around 7kw oh boy was it great craic, but I hammerd the shit out of the Zippy's in 1P,
but the acceleration was so much fun!
I think an ev like the leaf or Zoe would make a great commuter shame Zoe won't be sold in the U.S or Canada, It will be a great car, you won't get twizy either.
I would rather spend my money on the car than on the fuel to be honest.
It would clost me about 3,500 euros a year in fuel in the Prius for my yearly driving needs, and that's on a 64 imp mpg car. A lot of money wasted on petrol!
