Ceramic Bearings

Postby Kirk » Wed Jun 06, 2012 9:19 am

On my Catrike Expedition I installed ceramic bearings front and rear before deciding to convert it to E-Assist. The increased performance is striking. So I was wondering if it would be worth putting ABEC-7 ceramic bearings in my hub motor? They would be similar to these at VXB.com http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/Kit8923 Probably would go with a Stainless cage, sealed race version something like these ABEC-5 bearings http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/Kit8163 Not sure if any performance increase would be worth the $120 investment though. Like an all night diner, I'm open to suggestions.
