I just got some tektro ecomp from illa. Again great service! I will do a review once I calibrate everything. So far they are working as advertised.

It seems there are a couple of Tektro hydraulic disc brakes for e-bikes being used now:

1./ Tektro Auriga e-sub, was used on early Bionx http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TEKTRO-AURGIA-E-SUB-F-FRONT-HYDRAULIC-DISC-BRAKE-ELECTRIC-BICYCLE-BIONX-NEW-/150740784320?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2318d9d4c0 and was (and may still be) also an option on some eZee models

2./ Tektro Auriga e-Comp, is now being used on bikes like the Ohm http://ohmcycles.com/electric-bike-special-edition/ and available as an upgrade from places like http://ebikessf.com/tektro-ecomp

I just scored 2 sets of the Tektro Auriga e-subs from eBay for $65 each + combined shipping of $18.99 from CANADA to US. They are listed at $69.99 + ~$14 shipping, but I used the 'Make Offer' button to combine shipping and get a discount on the pair.

$148.99 for 2 sets to my door is great. It's even cheaper than the AVID BB7's (160mm) that are being replaced. Can't complain when I can get hydraulics with ebrake capability cheaper than my mechanical setup.

Delivered today.

No box, just a plastic bag with cardboard in between the 2 sets. Seemed a bit weird, but apparently sufficient. The hydraulic cables are quite short (18" or so), but are also sufficient for my front wheel setups (going on 2 different bikes; these on front with BB7s on back).

They look nice in all black and the disc (160mm) looks quality. Haven't installed them, but squeezing them in hand feels great. I can tell the modulation will be smooth as far as the friction brakes go. Won't know about the regen/ebike cut functionality for a month or two.

I haven't used them yet ... My 2 projects that they will go on are just rounding the corner of completion. But from playing with them off the bike, I can say that modulation is VERY smooth in comparison to my BB7s

I think the guy (dragon_spinz) just sold his last pair since I cannot find them anymore. Bummer, as they were a good deal for e-brakes hydraulics.

You just need to scan eBay every 2-3 days to find if anything comes up. I also lucked out on 2 pairs of Tektro Auriga Comps (non electric) for the rear for $70 shipped ($25 ea + $20 shipping) which I will convert using a reed switch and magnet.
