Dynapack battery BMS wake up? Motocompacto battery dead

send it to me before it goes in the dumpster, lol. I'll do what I'm doing with mine; new controller, new BMS in the battery, all aftermarket electronics but as close to stock appearance as possible, and the ability to use a range extending second battery. Just wanting on my VESC to show up. I...

Dynapack battery BMS wake up? Motocompacto battery dead

Bypassed the fuse, still no output from the battery. At this point I'm probably going to remove the factory BMS, put an ANT Smart BMS on it and replace the stock controller with a VESC.

    Sabvoton 72200 stuck in reset

Bumping to say I'm having the exact same issue. Cannot program no matter what. Have sent an email to sabvoton support, I'll update this thread and my thread on the same issue once I hear back.

Dynapack battery BMS wake up? Motocompacto battery dead

I just ordered a new battery for mine. Still going to try fixing the old one. On the fence about attempting a parallel battery set up when the new one arrives, using a battery Y-connect module (which I believe keeps the batteries from charging each other) like this one...

Dynapack battery BMS wake up? Motocompacto battery dead

This is the path the positive current takes from the string pos to pack pos, passing through the SCP and the two parallel FET packages.

Dynapack battery BMS wake up? Motocompacto battery dead

I wonder if this is because there is still a constant flow of current through the "heater" portion of the fuse at a fraction of an amp?

Dynapack battery BMS wake up? Motocompacto battery dead

I do not endorse doing this in any way because it defeats safety features of your e-bike's battery, but I'll be (ok, my friend who has a hot air station will be) desoldering and jumpering T1 to T3 on mine, taking the T2/heater section out of play entirely. That way I can then probe T2 on my own...

I'll be mildly surprised if Honda accepts a battery that has been disassembled for a warranty replacement.

    Sabvoton not allowing configuration

Mine is from Sabvoton.net, the invoice says "MQCON Science and Technology Co., Ltd", it does not have the two display wires like AGS has. Came with the UKC1, bluetooth, and USB cables. Honestly I had no idea that there were different vendors for slight variations of this. The app and PC program...

    Sabvoton not allowing configuration

Bought a Sabvoton SVMC72150 and installed it in my bike with a 60v battery and QS hub motor. Powers on, works great, motor spins the wrong way. Go into the settings on the UKC1 display, power cycle the controller, motor still spins the wrong way. Ok, weird. Unplug the UKC1 and plug in the power...

Dynapack battery BMS wake up? Motocompacto battery dead

Sorry I forgot about this thread. If you take a look at your red wire coming off the pack, look at the huge trace that goes to it. That trace goes to the right to two FET packs, and then from there it goes to a rectangular surface mount device with three legs. This is the fuse, but it's not a...

Dynapack battery BMS wake up? Motocompacto battery dead

There are two fuses on a motocompacto. The one you can see on the battery leads is a normal automotive style blade fuse. The second one is inside the battery case itself. This one will blow due to an over-current condition like a normal fuse *or* the microcontroller inside the battery can kill...

Dynapack battery BMS wake up? Motocompacto battery dead

That makes a lot of sense. I hope you're wrong about the BMS triggering it though, because then replacing it will just result in another instant blow and means the battery has effectively bricked itself. I may just use a rework station to remove the fuse for now and bridge the main terminals...
