I had done of those cheap eBay blue meters and thats what i did. Made sure i used good quality soldered bullet connectors and it worked fine.
Meter died after a couple of weeks though. :(
Consider me thoroughly teased. :)
Its the kind of info that i'd really like to have on hand for when the OH will let me spend money on bike stuff.....which i am sure will happen this side of the next millennium. :(
Will be interesting to hear about how the CA programming interacts with the...
Mr Kepler well done! Obviously being such a wunderful bloke and remarkably attractive man you have a wiring diagram somewhere that may allow a mere mortal to do this? :)
Or are you considering making up the harness for fitting a CA to the BBS02 and flogging them off??
From previous discussions this thread, seems that this at 100% works well. Its a bit unclear how it works, but its though it determines the rpm at which the motor starts to back off the power before it cuts out due to rpm.
It actually cadence. how fast the front sprocket turns under power...
Well, you have to remember that this is where people with problems come for info and advice. People who dont have issues simplly wont post here so i think you can get a pretty skewed impression.
Also, a lot of the people who come to ES seem to be "enthusiasts" and "tinkerers" who may in some...
Had a look at the video you posted, and then at the video posted in the OP of this thread waaaaaaaay back on page 1.
Sound a bit similar to me. Maybe you have a similar issue? I havent read all that stuff for a long time, but it came down to some lose screws and a fixable problem with a...
When i have a short hill and i cant be bothered changing PAS level. :)
But, mainly when i am coming uphill to an intersection. I find it useful particularly when changing lanes as part of the traffic flow if i want to turn right at an intersection.
Nice bike you have there.
I'll be going through EM3ev as i bought the kit from Paul and since he is in HK he's close the factory.
Have discussed with him and he reckons he can get pretty much anything in the way of parts provided i dont want them immediately and can tell him exactly what i want, which is cool with me...
Ive done nearly 2600km on mine now (1580 miles) . I did grease the secondary reduction part (since that was easy and i had read they factory could be a bit stingy with grease there) before i installed.
Am going to order some spares for bearings, seals and the nylon gear with sprag clutch...
There are quite a few parameter that can be programmed. start current, keep current, and others that if you set them wrong, can i think, blow the controller under some circumstances. Any programming changes have to be strictly at your own risk which i think most people accept. That said and...
I believe there is but i think all it does is keep the clock time when the display is turned off. My clock wouldn't keep time until i left the main battery switch turned on for a couple of days which seemed to charge whatever is in the display.
I would say so. I notice a big difference between riding my bike that has the 4kg battery down low on the downtube, and my OH's bike that has a 4.5kg battery on a carrier above the rear wheel (both mid drive bikes).
Balance on mine is MUCH better even with very modest size and weight...
