:bigthumb: so thought I would just update this thread I've been running the shark pack for a while now and I'm super happy with it I have put it through quite a bit of abuse and had it fling off my bike once or twice because I forgot to lock it and it's still working great so I bought another...

    Lines erased E-Bike / E-Scooter / E Motorcycle

In my state of virginia, the ebike limit is 1000 Watts 25 mph. After that than you need a registration and you will be considered a motor vehicle. anything under that you are considered in the same class as a bicycle, power assist bicycle, disability Mobility device. My fastest bike I clocked...

Loving the ebike life but wishing for a full suspension bike...

it will definitely make your life a lot easier if you just put your controller inside of a bike bag... all of my bikes have the controller inside of some sort of housing. They don't get super hot if you're running a regular setup without hot rodding it, you will be fine..

Loving the ebike life but wishing for a full suspension bike...

i ride my bike as a commuter in the Nova area and I ride in the rain and other weather situations most of my connectors are in my bag with the controller or battery, I've never had a connector shorting issue but one time my thumb throttle did Go full blast it would not stop so I just hit the off...

Loving the ebike life but wishing for a full suspension bike...

drilling holes is fine just stay a inch or two away from the welds. the side of the tube is a little more preferable but if you're just using this to ride as a commuter bike then a hole on top or bottom works too as long as your holes arnt too big. just use a little common sense when sizing them...

    Riding with night vision

I read an article about these marines driving their Suburbans with night vision goggles and the Suburban has a infrared light bar on the top of the roof that lights everything up for their infrared goggles it looks super awesome maybe we could put a small infrared light on the front of our bikes.

Building a solid rim for my QS205

wow, that looks awesome. i was going to say have you ever tried titanium spokes. Alex rims also makes a triple wall called the Super E. But I totally get where you're coming from The Hub Motors don't lace well with rims because they're so big in diameter that the spokes don't really tension...

    ebike delta/wye relay problems?

So on my ride to lunch today the bike did it again with the relay bypassed so I opened it up and upon further inspection noticed the jumper wire on my 3-speed connector was barely hanging on so tonight I'm going to solder that connection together in high speed and see if it goes away then...

    ebike delta/wye relay problems?

that is a good point. I've read quite a bit about this in one of Nikola Tesla's books he used many ways to disrupt arcing not for my purpose but he also used wind which I'm guessing if I put a small fan and make a hole for air flow I can make air flow between the contacts and I think general...

    ebike delta/wye relay problems?

ok sorry it took so long but i had some time to diagnose the problem tonight and it definitely was the relay I was using because I bypass the relay and the drivability issue disappeared. I was thinking of using three Automotive five pin relays that are 45 amp rated. I use a buck converter to...

    fatbike problems

I agree with markz. The limiting factor in a kit usually is the controller and battery. some controllers have a 3-speed connector that you attach a switch to which can limit your speed from slow medium and high. i have one thats 1500 watts but in low it tops out at around 15 mph. and the...

    fatbike problems

well I don't live in the UK and where I'm at in the United States of America there is no watt limit but a federal mile per hour limit anyways a lot of people don't even know what these things are. people ask me all the time is that electric and I look at them like you can't tell. they don't know...

    Ebike to tow a caravan?

yeah just last week i watched a boat on a trailer push a SUV down a hill with its anti-lock brakes going nuts because the car couldn't take the weight of the trailer and the boat. also there is a term called Wag the Dog when the trailer gets a death wobble and whips the towing vehicle around...
