I created some resistive load groups with aluminum resistors to force my motor driver. One friend of mine got a little scared me that these resistors could explode strongly if I used higher than listed watts. Is this true? For example, if I pass a 1000watt resistor in the group in the picture...

Do you plan to change all isn't? Otherwise they can make unbalanced electric loads.. I looked the values and they are generic values actually not best of best.. Did you looked to Digikey? With digikey's parametric filtering you can find good value ones..

Yes it can be reversible, from images it looks like basic hall sensored motor. Timing can be optimised at coding or maybe modifying motor inner structure (repositinoning hall sensors little).
