My setup of using two 24v 10ah batteries has been working fine for almost 2000 miles now! To work and back every day (19 miles roundtrip) without a hiccup.

I've got a question. I've searched for hours looking for a straight answer with no luck.... Which Switch setting do you use on the Lyen 12FET controller when using a Hall Effect throttle? I see Button and Switch options only. Also, do the three speed settings have any effect? Thanks in advance!

Just a quick update on the two Keling 24v 10ah packs I'm using in series for 48v through the Lyen 12FET, CLyte 408 motor. Wiring is all "stock" but with 45A Powerpoles. I've got about 700 miles on this build so far. Controller settings: 30A/70A, LVC 42v, Tolerance 1, block time 2, EBS level 2...

Hi all! I've been searching for days for information concerning the maximum punishment a Clyte 408 can take, but can't seem to find any consistent answers. Does anyone, who has extensive experience with this motor, know what it can handle? I'm just looking for straight, simple answers...

Will regen work since I'm using two 24v batteries in series? I have the Lyen 12FET controller and wasn't sure if I should activate it. I don't know how each BMS will handle it. Also, does anyone know the C rating for the 24v 10ah packs? I emailed John but haven't received a response yet...

Interesting idea about the "super-capacitor".... :) I used to work field service for a company (MEPPI) who made the electric propulsion and dynamic braking systems for the Bombardier M7 rail car. They all came with the regen option, but the LIRR and MNRR in NY City didn't use that feature...

Never mind. Just used Lyen's beta programming software and he's "fixed" the text in that version. Guess it wasn't important. :)

Yes, I know this thread is a year old, but I thought I would add my experience to this issue, for others searching for a solution. :) I am having a similiar problem, but when checking the hall sensor (on the yellow wire), I found that it had failed in the closed position. The other sensors...

Thanks, but the new controller fixed it (for the most part). I'm still going to keep the battery charged to less than 55v, since that's what the caps in the controller are rated for. Better safe than sorry. ;) Now I'm working on another problem. Waiting for a new hall sensor for the motor...
