    NEW Sanyo NCR20700B 4250mah

The most I can fit on a 33inch wheelbase in my current eboard design is 60 18650 cells in a 10s6p configuration. Max Ah using hg2 cells is 18 Ah @36v. I can fit 60 NCR20700b cells within a 33inch wheelbase which gives me 24Ah @ 36v. At 5 amp per cell they also outperform everything in the 18650...

    Direct VESC V4.12

For us space is always an issue since we integrate everything into a cavity only 20mm deep and our electronics need to fit into a cavity around 50mm wide so v4.12 is a good fit. Once v6 goes public we will likely rework the pcb files and make a more compact version to suit our needs but it will...

    Direct VESC V4.12

Kapton might not be the best material. I use it to insulate plastic jst headers when reworking circuit boards. Better to use something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019MV1TAC/ref=psdc_2998409011_t1_B019MU7NTO All that is really needed to assemble these is a smd station with a hot air...

    Direct VESC V4.12

We place them here in the shop and send them through our reflow oven. The direct fets were easier than expected to place.

    Direct VESC V4.12

Yeah, you need to use a thermal adhesive to attach a heat sinks and keep them electrically insulated from the package. This is still very much in the alpha phase and I may make a few more changes before moving into manufacturing these.

    Direct VESC V4.12

It has been awhile since posting on the sphere but I think there are some members here who will find this new project useful. We have modified the original Kicad files for V4.12 and switched to direct fets for proper cooling with heat sinks. The modified files have been uploaded to our OshPark...

    18650 cell level fuse holder

Here's the link to the .stl files for the 18650 cell holders used in our electric skateboards: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1712459 I've received a bunch of requests for other combinations so I will update the page with those as I make them. Will probably include more information on how the...

How To Solder Your Own VESC!

If you were able to load the firmware but get no response when powered you probably have some bridged pins. Check the usb, stm and the drv. I use a 10x loupe to check for solder hairs. If that fails you may need to reflow the drv chip and make sure it is soldered to the ground pad as that will...
