Same deal on mine. Wood composite construction. Aluminum Rivet Nuts to hide attachment points. Air vent compartments that allow air and not water in the front and back. Fan assisted in the summer. Holds a lot of battery :)

Works fine. I use 4s Lipo on my trolling motor

I just did a Minn Kota C2. The 30lb thrust freshwater version. I pulled out the switch that goes down to the resistor pack and wired in the ESC directly to the motor. I started with a Hobbywing QUICRUN 1060 Brushed ESC for $20 from Ebay that seemed to work great with a "servo tester" for $1.50...

After 54 days of land and sea travel from Poland to Chicago my batteries arrived! Well packed as everyone else has reported and all cells seem nicely matched. Thanks Tumich!
