Update: I have warehoused these in a storage unit, still for sale! Make me some offers. :)

MXUS 3K Turbos & Other Parts

They're 3T. Apologies for forgetting to include prices, I've been very spaced out trying to get things organized for moving! I was thinking something like $475 for each laced motor? I don't recall how much exactly they cost, but it was expensive. Obviously offer up. Maybe $180 for the...

MXUS 3K Turbos & Other Parts

As the title says, I've got stuff for sale. Located in Massachusetts, so local preferred, but I can look into shipping depending. I am selling two MXUS 3K Turbo motors. They're laced into 20" Stranger Crux XL BMX rims with custom length Grin Technologies Sapim spokes. The axles have been filed...

    Giant Revive BBS02 Mid-Drive

Fascinating, bike geometry is kind of like black magic sometimes, isn't it. I was mainly looking at the angle of the seat, I think. (As it seems you are in terms of the 'lean') as sometimes it felt like falling forward a little bit. I feel like a little bit of front suspension with a cheap...

    Giant Revive BBS02 Mid-Drive

Wow, this is impressive! I had no idea it leaned *forward*. Out of curiosity, is it possible to use the shock to compensate for a 395mm fork in some way? No idea what your plan is other than than the Raidon, but definitely post it up here when you get the bushing situation figured out.

    Giant Revive BBS02 Mid-Drive

Really exciting stuff here, folks! I love the detailed technical drawings. Currently I'm agonizing over how to get more suspension on my Revive build. I have a zany idea to add a suspension fork to the front (probably 335mm axle to crown) compensated by installing a longer shock in the rear to...

Rim width for 2.5 and 2.75" 20" tires

Thanks for the tips, guys! :bigthumb: I'm ready to get this project on the road. :D Appreciate the guidance.

Rim width for 2.5 and 2.75" 20" tires

I'm trying to get some decent rims going for my wide tyre 20" wheels, but I'm coming up stumped on rims. My instincts tell me that I'd want a 50mm ID wide rim, but I can only either find 58mm ID (fat bike rims) which are basically as wide as the tyre, or 36-37mm ID rims. Help!

I'm looking for two 12F controllers. Lemme know!

    MXUS 3K Turbo Lacing

I prefer the smaller tyres currently. I can find 1.6" moped rims which would seem to fit the bill, but the accursed spoke lengths is just destroying my brain. There's no good way to actually figure the thing out. Angled spoke holes I think is the main issue, and lack of ERD...

    MXUS 3K Turbo Lacing

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I'm also doing some light cargo endeavors! I think I was responding to the fact that the other thread you linked was suggesting a 65mm wide fat bike rim, which would seem altogether too wide.

    MXUS 3K Turbo Lacing

I appreciate all the info, guys. I'm not sure I would need quite so wide a rim - I'm only going for 2.5" and 2.75" wide moped tyres (Mitas MC2 and similar). There are definitely moped rims of 1.6" width or so that would work. The points about spokes are well-taken. I just find that finding...

    MXUS 3K Turbo Lacing

Thanks for the informative response! I didn't assume that the 3K was in Grin's calculator - that's useful to know. My worry with BMX rim use is the spoke gauge needed for the motor. It's 10G, is it not? How would I get spokes that both fit in the rim and in the motor?

    MXUS 3K Turbo Lacing

I've been having a real sticky time figuring out how to get my MXUS 3K motors laced into wheels, and I'm primarily stuck with spoke length. Has anyone ever done a 16" moped rim with the MXUS 3K that could tell me what he has used in terms of spoke length/rim? I'm also open to some kind of 20"...

    Sabvoton Curiousity

Certainly good to have spares, and I wouldn't expect them to be *complete* junk that would break at a moment's notice, but always best to keep up with the latest news. :) Thanks for the reply.
