I have 4- 6s packs that I left hooked up in series to a lyen controller on my back-up bike for several weeks after a ride. They got down to less than 1v per cell. I had to bulk charge them above 2.5v at first because the HK eco 6 showed a low voltage error and wouldn't charge them. I have at...
Not yet, in over 10,000 miles of high speed urban commuting. They see me and leave me be :D
However, that will change as e-biking becomes more common around here. All good things eventually come to an end...
Excellent job on your 2nd build, a nice creative battery solution and I know it rides smooth too. It's good to have another high speed e-bike here in KC.
- see ya soon...
Thanks for the replies. Yes, the wheel has a notched feel when turning, but only when connected to the controller. It turns normally when disconnected. I disconnected the regen loop and it makes no difference, it still 'notches' when phase wires are connected to the controller whether the power...
Here's the story - Was not able to program the regen on Lyen 18fet HV controller, it was set to engage whenever throttle was released. So, I disconnected the regen jumper and it worked fine - except no regen. Then I thought of running the regen jumper through one of my e-brake levers, it worked...
I just did a conversion for a friend a few weeks ago. I showed her what was available in factory-built bikes online and she decided to let me do a conversion on hers for less money. So far it is working great, but if it breaks, I am sure I'll be the 1st to know.

Thanks XLR8, There is no noticable flex, if I could get 3/32" I would try it. 1/16" would probably be too weak, because this is mild steel. The hardest thing is modifying a swing arm, I can't seem to be able to source suitable pivot hardware. So you need a donor swing arm. I'll post more pics...
Awesome job Ratking, I like the way you integrated the suspension. That bike should handle like a dream, all the weight is is in the right place. excellent!
It's hard to improve on the beauty & style of the stealth IMO, which is what I'm basing my builds on , except to make it thinner with a slightly smaller triangle(sacrificing capacity). I always ride on the streets and this latest build is turning lots of heads - I'm sure the cops are noticing...
John, is that a 2 positon switch that stays on when turned? where did you get it? I just got one that is spring-loaded like a car ignition switch, only paid $ 6.00 on ebay but it's worthless to me. Thanks
