new Chinese conversion mid motors that nobody knows ?

And PSWP still stating 53:1 gear ratio !!! Anyone know what the 53 speed assist relates to, does it mean 53km/h ?

Anyone know about/tried TOSEVEN Mid Drive?

All looks a bit of a cock up from where I am , the bird flew from the coupe before it was ready to be released. Now To7 are a little on the back foot before being completly ready for launch.

Typically Li-on bms for lipo , LFP/lifepo4 are wrong voltage scale.

What kind of safety measures do you take when building battery at home?

    1. Read up on build techiniques . 2. Read up on arduino mini welders and the type of buss tecniques used for welding. 3. Make sure no jewellery is worn, so no rings, bracelets, watches or chains. 4. Use cell holders and insulators. 5. Don't use metal tools , plastic or wooden implements only...

Anyone know about/tried TOSEVEN Mid Drive?

On the UK pedelecs forum another To7 representaive by the name of KatLee has mentioned that the reason why the lead tsdz designer jumped ship was because of the owners unwillingness to improve the design and solely wanting a cheap motor to sell to the masses. If the aim of T07 is to allow the...

new Chinese conversion mid motors that nobody knows ?

Yes as elinx has mentioned it seems the misinformation was on PSW Powers webpage which has now been pulled. It sound very high and was a maybe to high to be believed, I have tsdz2 on my Ute cargo bike which tows a trailer up to 200lbs or so and rides very well without power so 53: 1 would have...

    Help with Tongsheng TSDz2 motor

No special tools are needed to open the motor or to replace the Blue gear.

new Chinese conversion mid motors that nobody knows ?

The To7 is anew designed motor with 53:1 reduction gearing , the design engineer from Tongshneg has moved over to To7 and is why the drive outwardly looks like a tsdz2. They are keen to work with the OSF /Github community by allowing access to the programming.

E-bike mid-drive motors hardly outperforms hub motors

My bafang G370 is 3.5lbs , although not a power hub it will gainly tow a 200lb load on a trail with little ascent . North America diyers are biased (if not obsessed) with power and speed, not everyone needst power or speed. It is horses for courses and the small powered hubs provide...

    BMS Balance Wire Connections

Determine the correct cell group in voltage order using a DVM to be sure and attach/solder the appropriate balance wire. The BMS will usually donate B- and the B+ starting order, leave the main multiwire jst connection till last once one has reconfirmed the wire sequence order is correct...

Anyone know about/tried TOSEVEN Mid Drive?

We know the internal gearing is higher then the tsdz2, something like 53:1 now. Also the reason why outwardly the new To7 mid drive looks similar in design then.

Anyone know about/tried TOSEVEN Mid Drive?

Reply from To7 on the UK Pedelecs forum. The new DM-01 and DM-02 are not a derivative of the tongsheng Motors. They are a new design There is some influence as the lead engineer was the engineer responsible for producing the tongsheng motors who's came over to form the new company the new...

Anyone know about/tried TOSEVEN Mid Drive?

This to me looks like a tsdz2 upgrade /rebrand following the court case that Bafang won against Tonsgsheng. Not many sites were selling the tSDZ2 by name or under the Tongsheng name. My one from RisunUK came with the tsdz2 manual in chinese but was named on the paper under another obscure...

    spotwelder?

From my last small build of p42a's as a simple 12s2p pack, I used ni/steel & cu sandwich with good results via the malectrics. 0.15 slitted ni/steel H strip and 0.08mm cu sheet, pulse rate of about 44 or 46. One has to test on old cells or use craft knife blades to determine the best pulse rate...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I use a 32/42t set up on my kona ute with the tsdz2, the longer chain stay gives no issues with chian line and all 18 gears are usable. The original shimano mech didn't play ball with the change over and the stops not being helpful, so I replaced with a sunrace triple and got the result I...
