    Graphene Aluminium / alumumin ion

It looks just like the typical holy graal vapor ware article. All the positive parts are mentioned but the heavy drawbacks is not brought forward and we will probably never see or hear about this "inovation" again.

    Li-ion cells cycle ageing

Samsung 29E6 looks really strong in these tests. It makes me smile as I have a few hundreds of E6 in my freezer for future use.

Zilch - so I don't expect or demand anything from him. It was just some basic curiosity from my side. A few promising cells could be selected to narrow the effort. And it might interest docware himself, based on curiosity!

    Li-ion cells cycle ageing

Now that you have confirmed cell performance at modest cycling then perhaps it's time for a more brutal approach. E'g full 4.2V charging at high currents and high discharge rate down to 3V to simulate how folks tend to build their light weight packs and kind of abuse them hard. It could be fun...

    Li-ion cells cycle ageing

These tests are so vital and important to sort out the lesser good models in the djungle of batteries. And one important thing can be determined by the results, that is 29E keeping its golden crown among contenders in form of the best bang for the buck. I'm glad I bought 29E a while ago by...

I think he means 65mOhm per cell. And that makes sense when calculating.

No, but you mentioned all these batteries at your initial post. If you don't want my advice then please forget what I said. I was just trying to be friendly and help you out.

    Choosing new battery

@Carcharodon Carcharias Just so you know... there is a thread about testing different cells how they age at load and GA, 30Q and PF is among the worst performers of the cells being tested. Ageing chart: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/download/file.php?id=269518 And the thread itself...

    Li-ion cells cycle ageing

From the chart it looks like 35E could be the new GA in terms of capacity decay. I also wonder how a 18650 cell of LifePO4 would come out in tests like these. It might reveal something we never thought of, or just imagined how it should behave by myth.

Wow, extremely good and informative measurement. I can't imagine how you manage all these tests in such short timeline. Keep up the good work, it is so very great of you taking the time doing this.

Magnets holding copper bus onto cell, no-weld no-solder

It looks like the cannister and button thickness of my 29E is about 0.5mm max (perhaps thinner). That is the value to enter as back iron with no return loop (open air magnetic circuit). If I remember correctly the iron thickness should be at least 25% of the magnets thickness to avoid field...

Magnets holding copper bus onto cell, no-weld no-solder

Don't fool yourself. The stated pull requires a certain thickness of opposite iron to meet specifications. There is free magnetic pull calculators online where you can enter the data and get the real pull force.

    Li-ion cells cycle ageing

That's because the charge current at 3.5V is maximum, e'g 2.5A in your case. Above 4V the charge current is just a fraction of 2.5A as this is close to finished. If one had forced 2.5A charge current into the battery during the whole charge cycle one would live in danger for fire, not to talk of...
