been thinking on this, i think that a 28hp with electric motor will be to heavy on the rear of a 14" cat , it would be to heavy for a 14" rowing boat, i think you would be better off with a outboard around 4hp to 6hp.

nope .. dont need to gear it up if the pitch and diameter of the prop is right, getting different dia and pitch on a prop for a outboard will not be easy, as the pitch and dia are made for the outboard specs. i can not help with the size of electric motor as i have not experimented with them...

the one in the video is noisy because its a angle grinder, but if you use a direct drive off of a bike motor, it will be no louder than a ebike, and if it is it wont be much louder, the gearbox on a outboard is under the water which helps to keep it quiet ,,

on a outboard motor you dont want to gear it down, there is a reduction in the gearbox at the propeller and the only thing that might need to be changed will be the propeller for one with a different pitch and or diameter.

angle grinder .. will run but a battery wont last long. when i was living on the rivers, i had the use of a inverter, 12v dc to 240v ac ,,i plugged in a 60w light bulb, connected to a big leisure battery , i got just over 30 mins on a full charge,, i dont think that any 240v from 12v setup will...

i have to wear reading glasses at that distance, the digits are blurred , but i cant wear them whilst riding as any thing further away becomes blurred with the glasses on , its the same with the speedo that i bought, i just can not read it whilst traveling,

trouble with the Cycle Analyst and other meters for cycles is that i can not see them whilst cycling, the text on them is to small for me to read them, i would love a proper Cycle Analyst, but its just no good for me, im now trying to think of a way to fit the amp meter to the bike, looks like...
