@dogman dan, what gauge of cable should I look for on the Y connector? I do not have the XT 90 connectors that are on most ebikes, but my batteries and motors have 2 way moulded connectors (SAE) as shown in the pics. The combined parallel batteries would be 36V 23.2ah

I have two of these batteries: http://www.electricbicycleworld.com/li-3/. Would it be possible to wire them in parallel to get longer range? If so, does it just require combining the + to + and - to - connections coming out of the battery packs?

Thanks for all the replies. As I have thought about using both of the 36V 11.6ah batteries, the question came as to if they can me wired up in parallel? Does anyone know if this is possible?

It would be a 13s6p....i did not know about mixing used cells. Maybe it would not be worth to break open already working packs?
