Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

Thanks for your comments Lurkin, I have gone back round with the dremil and a stone bit putting radiuses on the cable routes and deburred wherever possible, there's not really any room at all for an inner tube like you suggested. The only fuse I have currently in an inline automotive fuse...

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

It's been a little while since I've worked on the bike properly, I've been modelling up some of the components and modifications for a full 3d model at the end. Motor Modification I cut the motor wire and soldered up all the connections. To get the bearing to slot over the shaft and the wire...

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

Seatpost Modification I've drilled the seatpost for the cable routing between the saddle case and the frame. I've found there is nearly no room at all in the frame at the seatpost for connectors, especially since 21 wires have to be connected there. I think this means I'm going to have to...

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

@motomech. Ah I think i got a little confused. That's good to know between the C and the H. My only reasoning for the H is that it has a threat to put a single gear freewheel on instead of using my modified on for a cleaner look, I'll stick with the C then. @lewtwo, it's not the easiest thing...

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

@Mündawg Thanks! @Motomech Ah, I just saw the bafang motors that do that. The shaft that I have drilled is the only external non rotating part. If you see the photos the next part has the screws for the brake rotor on. Good to know about the saddles, I'm designing it bespoke for my charge...

    Q100 and Q100C internals

@Motomech. Great Info! I'm slightly concerned that the drawing of the Q100H motor on the BMSB website is wider that the Q100C (mine). It would be so handy to get the q100h and swap them out.

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

@chas58 I think I'm going to get another motor. I'm trying to find a Q100C without the freehub to swap the internals into my Q100C CST. This would mean I can get one with 36 spoke holes because i won't be using the shell, also I can then use a single gear freewheel instead of my chopped down...

    Q100 and Q100C internals

@d8veh I've just had to take mine apart because it has lost drive. Did I read it correctly when you said the cores are interchangeable? If I got a Q100 motor it would fit in the Q100C Shell?

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

@Lurkin I saw that a little bit. I'd prefer any control system to be arduino based if I was going into microcontrollers for the easiest integration with other systems I might add to the bike. @chas58 Thanks. Why would it need an LCD screen? from what I read there is a signal wire which outputs...

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

I saw some of the tools for helping with the nipples, but it didn't take long to do just the one wheel, quite relaxing. and using the nipple as the tool is free... @chas58 I tried to find a freewheel q100 but I couldn't anywhere that had 32 spoke holes, the only one I found by going through...

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

Controller Simplification I managed to find another supplier of this controller, the YK85S (different to the YK85), to request an electrical diagram and got the following back. This let me cut back and insulate all the wires I don't need, everything but the key switch, battery, motor, motor...

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

It lives! I got the motor to turn. I went all round the board with the multimeter and made a guess that there was a 36v ignition switch, which was wired differently to other YK85 controllers I had seen online. I'll post my full diagnostic results later about what I believe all the pins do for...

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

I just did lots of testing and I think I've got it sorted. Further updates tomorrow. @LeoTwo I've read through that, my wires are different colours and it actually is wired differently.

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

@d8veh you're right. I've put wiring in along my battery pack in the seat tube to fit a PAS sensor in the future. It would be good to calculate the mechanical resistance of the motor and map automated pedal assist to make it ride like a regular bike when off the throttle. @motomech. I forgot...

Single Gear Stealth Build - Battery in Frame Tubes

@mrdude_1 I like your thinking. I'm going to wait and see if i need the room for the connectors. if it's not full sardines I may make a smaller one. @d8veh the ally case makes the footprint so much larger in all directions, i want to keep the bag as small as possible. The PAS will be the next...
