Thanks a bunch, I'm glad to hear its a known issue and the solution being relatively simple. This is a perfect excuse for me to try out a ATTINY85. I experimented with a full size Arduino and can get it to signal when it sees 1V from the throttle and its adjustable.

Yeah this is PAS only I am not touching my physical throttle. If I stop pedaling and then resume the ramp up is normal. I haven't tried backwards peddle, I will try that out and report.

Its pretty clear that there is no LowVolts message. Instead the CA fades out and restarts. I get this kind of behavior when something shorts the 5v+ and ground on the CA.
