Bike not turning on. Seemingly ignoring battery input.

The light/switch is on the top of my controller. As has been requested here are pictures of the top and side of the controller. Sorry about not providing photos earlier. Top: http://i.imgur.com/DydvCor.jpg Side: http://i.imgur.com/LvGrk6j.jpg I am using this controller...

Bike not turning on. Seemingly ignoring battery input.

When pluged in and turned "on" the voltage across the battery does vary slightly by .1 v, or so.

Bike not turning on. Seemingly ignoring battery input.

Hello all, In the continuing adventures of my bike not working, the bike is now ignoring battery input. Here is thread 1 of my issues: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=67917 This issue seemed to be caused by a faulty connection but could be part of the current problem. This...

CAv3 Powering off Low Voltage Cuttoff

I normally charge until the charger turns off. When plugged in today the charger seemed to do nothing but I have left it plugged in and turned on.

CAv3 Powering off Low Voltage Cuttoff

Hmm, Ill try the charger trick now. If that doesn't work, and no one can come up with a miraculous solution, I'll tear down the battery and start checking cells.

CAv3 Powering off Low Voltage Cuttoff

There is a BMS, or calibike claims there is one, its just in the hard, sealed case the battery is packaged in. Here is the description of the battery. http://calibike.com/?product=lithium-72v-15ah-ultra-light-battery-pack

Nothing besides charging and output. :/

CAv3 Powering off Low Voltage Cuttoff

Not easily, I would have to destroy the current packaging to get to single cells. While clearly better than getting a new battery I would rather not. This could be a last resort.

CAv3 Powering off Low Voltage Cuttoff

I have a 72v 15a Li-On battery with a CRYSTALYTE M3540 and CAv3. My issue today is that it seems to believe the battery is draining at an alarming rate and shuts off very quickly (less that 2 mins of running or about 3 seconds of max draw from throttle) but when I replug in the battery the CA...

    Ebike HUGE watt draw issue

Looks like that was the issue. All of the connections were fine but one of the pins leading from the CA to the controller was pulled out. I replaced the pin by just pushing it back into place. If I have another issue solder may come into play. I have tested it with dry runs but not on the road...

    Ebike HUGE watt draw issue

Hello all, I have a 72v 15a Li-On battery with a CRYSTALYTE M3540 and CAv3. I bought all the parts from ebike.ca and the battery from calibike.com, so far it has been great. Today when I started riding the bike started jerking on and off as well as the CA reporting that it was drawing 9990w...

    First Electric Bike Build

Ok, cool. You're recommendation is pick up a good 48v now and see how that rides I can always pick up another 24v or whatever to get myself up to 72v if I feel its necessary. Then instead of parting everything out just stick to ebike.ca because they have decent prices and a great reputation...

    First Electric Bike Build

Any recomendations for a good steel frame and disc brake compatible fork? Will I also need to do something to make sure the back is also disc brake compatible? I'm looking for something with 26 inch wheels.

    First Electric Bike Build

What am I shipping from china? I believe at least two of the batteries are US based (the exception being ping). The motor + rim is US based or at the least the best price I have seen as well as free shipping and the controller is also US based + free shipping. Ping seems to be reputable. I...

Hello all! I'm looking to build an ebike! Never heard of that, right? I'm 5'8 110 lbs, so a small guy, looking to build a bike that can do 30~35 mph in Tallahassee, Florida. While not as bad as San Francisco or anything its fairly hilly so I would like the bike to be able to deal with...
