    DIY controllers

I looked over that one before but only glanced because I want to use the brushed motors that I already have. I would just like to let a few more amps flow. Seems it should only need part of what that does since it wouldn't need to actually control the motor.

    EV Mini Trailer

Maybe as a lightweight-minimalist camp trailer. My uneducated opinion is that it would need a lot of reworking to be an independent vehicle. I'd want those rear wheels further back and eliminate the folding aspect/features/parts. Seems it would be a bit difficult to be made road legal as an...

Sinclair C5 teardown on EEVBLOG ;)

Well, I finally got around to watching the video and it was interesting. I don't remember them having pedals. Not sure what the problem is supposed to be with anyone's voice but I did find it kinda silly to be keeping them stock for the most part. I'd save the original parts and upgrade. If it...

    lower voltage to motor

I'm new and not an expert by any means but it seems you would have to have a reprogramable controller to do that. Although it's not perfect you should be able to calculate the rpm per volt and then punch that into one of the widgets/calculators out there.

I remember them as the hundred buck computer.

    DIY controllers

Just how reasonable is it for those of us with failing vision, dexterity/soldering skills to build a controller?

Deductive thinkers needed!! Confusing problem :)

I'm thinking along the lines of the controller (or some part of it) overheating or in some other way not being able to handle the christians generated by the motor in a long coast. I had a similar thing happen with my little scooter (no freewheel). Maybe just a circuit breaker thing? I've read...

    Am I going nutz ?

I must be missing something because I don't get where there's any electrical assistance from your description.

    New 3 wheeler, 60 MPH

From the hype it seems to be aimed at the overpriced cup of coffee and red trousers-wearing crowd. Way too expensive and the behaviors exhibited are those that are almost guaranteed to PO someone in a large heavy vehicle that will not be affected by a minor impact.

how hard can it be to not run over large objects?

Last fall I saw two men on mobility scooters/electric wheelchairs almost get run over by two different pickumup trucks on two separate occaisions within two weeks. They were both good sized guys and in one case the truck was making a left turn so was looking right at the guy while they both...

What does "AH" stand for and its purpose?

The thing that confuses me is that they don't seem to be consistant across "technologies". Of course I could have misread or misremembered but I could swear that the same ah rating does not mean the same usable power (without killderating the battery) on different battery chemistry.
