The amps were measured with a Cycle Analyst and a shunt, not with the controller. But I don't care anymore, I pollute by burning fossile fuel, and I eat lots of meat. :lol:

Never had an issue with the motor. It never got hot, even on the hottest Summer days.

You bring up a lot if good points, but I gotta say that even if you can't pedal a heavy Ruckus, it just looks much cooler than a Walmart stand up scooter with cut off sleeves, capri pants and flip flops. 😁😁😁

Consider what you want to do with the bike. If it's a commuter that you don't plan to drive like a maniac, a hub motor will do just fine and leave more room for a bigger battery. As it was said, it will change the dynamics of the rear suspension but this will not be a problem if the bike is...

They are OK. I have been running mine with 20S leaf cells and a 5KW motor for 4 1/2 years now and it is still working fine.
